The Monster Project

To incorporate writing into the library curriculum, students participated in the Monster Project at www.monsterexchange.org. Students first tried to draw another student's monster by hearing the description. Classes then voted for the closest match to the author's monster representation.

Students created their own monster and then wrote a description how other students could draw their monster. This activity helps students to improve their writing by recognizing the need for details.
