High School Choice Research

Choose a high school you are interested in researching.
Name of School

Where is this school located? (address and nearest cross streets)
If you choose to go to this school, how would you get there? (walk, driven in a car, bus, etc.)
If you have to take public transportation, how much would that cost a month?

What are the minimum requirements this school has for admission? Is meeting these requirements realistic according to your current academic record?

What programs does this school offer of interest to you?
What are the benefits of this school toward your academic goals?

What concerns do you have about this as a school choice?

Do you think your parents will support this school as an option for you? Why or why not?

Evaluating and Narrowing your Choices

Step 1 is to narrow your choice of high schools by one. Write 2-4 sentences explaining your choice to eliminate this high school from further consideration.

Step 2 is to consider the advantages and disadvantages of the remaining two schools and create a T-chart to express your ideas...

Step 3 is to choose a first choice for high school application. Write a paragraph detailing the final choices. How did you arrive at this decision? What are the advantages of this school for you?
